It’s hard to catch the shape of fear. Why? Because we believe the story she weaves. Her goal seems noble, safety. Out of it we build compulsive habit that feels right. This unconscious survival is her way to repeat and relive the past. Did you realize that’s what he did with the past? He would prefer we stagnate in fear. Live out our days in a state of simple survival. Something a worm has mastered. He uses story so can we justify drowning daily in monotonous habit. But remember the noble goal is safety. Have you ever checked in with her safety logic? She likes reenacting things past. She likes a known quantity. Using habit as a tool, she is scared of newness. FEAR! Take heart, become aware of the story and the power of it dies. It’s not really about survival. Do not hate Ego. He too only wants survival. Our seeking new and unknown places challenges safety to him. This is why he makes up a believable story, a scary one. So scary that you don’t step past his comfort zone. You don’t activate his fear of death. Ego death is real and it’s without habit. So hold space for her as you recognize your habit. It was created in love and instinctual survival. When you feel anxiety know it’s Ego’s fear. Ego pushes you to know and love safety. She pulls emotions and thoughts from the familiar past and weaves for you so many threads into a story. Knowing this, now you can enjoy the fearful story and notice where you are stuck in Ego’s habit. You are not meant to repeat over and over past events. Your song is in thriving, not stuck in your survival. Take the reins and know that there is deep safety in your creative journey. You are not the fear. Let ego create stories bound in survival. Release old habit and redefine safety. Use what’s past to drive new! Give Ego back her fear.
I love everything about this poem… You are amazing! ❤
